SAFE LOCAL ROADS, CYCLE WAYS AND PATHS

Low impact infrastructure and sustainable transport options are proposed for Noosa on Weyba, in keeping with the neighbouring natural environment.

Walking and cycling is a sustainable and healthy way to get around Noosa and continues to be an integral part of the area’s local transport system.

Public bicycle and pedestrian paths leading to and around the western shore of Lake Weyba will be introduced by the project.

Pathways and bikeways will be provided at no public cost and will enable formal community access along the private landholding’s western shore of Lake Weyba for the first time.

The master planned community will upgrade Tidswell Road so it is sealed and flood free. In addition to the improved vehicular access, these roads will also provide cyclists with access to Lake Weyba from Walter Hay Drive and Noosa-Eumundi Road.

A roundabout on Walter Hay Drive will be introduced to service the community.

The development will be serviced by upgrading the existing Council’s town water and sewer systems.

Bikeways will reduce vehicle trips
